From Tier 2 Cities
BIGShift will serve as a launchpad for FIVE startups in each city. These startups will be offered the enviable opportunity to showcase their business plans as well as products/services in front of stalwarts from the local startup community.
- Your startup has been operational for at least 1-year but less than 5 years
- Your startup has not raised more than $1 Mn in funding
- Your startup must be registered in India or founded in India and have operations in India

Inc42 hosted the first edition of BIGShift in 2017 in 8 cities. The series helped connect over 400 startups and investors with the local startup ecosystem in India’s emerging Tier 2 & 3 startup hubs.
Do I need to pay while I apply?
Yes! but in case you are not shortlisted, we will refund the fee.
What is the agenda and duration of BIGShift event?
BIGShift is a 4-hour event with 3-4 interesting sessions followed by startup pitches. The event starts in the afternoon.
How will I know if my application is selected or rejected?
We will inform you as soon as we are done with the selection process. You will be notified about your application status via email.
Once I am shortlisted, can I get a refund in case I am unable to attend?
No, refunds are only initiated in case of rejection of an application.
Who all will I be able to meet while I attend?
BIGShift, as an idea, was conceived to help startups connect, bond and discuss synergies under one roof. So, you will meet your co-hustlers from the Indian startup ecosystem and our imminent speakers.
What all does the application fee/ticket include?
The ticket covers your attendance at the event and snacks. Connecting you with the community is anyway priceless.
I am shortlisted, can I get a plus 1?
The audience for the meetup is handpicked & we are afraid we won’t be entertaining any +1s. However, if you think your +1 can fit the bill and definitely deserves to be a part of the event, hit reply to the email you got from our team & we shall surely look into it.
I am shortlisted but can someone else attend on my behalf?
No, we are handpicking an audience of 50 people from the ecosystem to spend an evening together and you are one of them. In case you think the other person might fit the bill or can replace you – hit us up with their profile.
Will I be able to speak to guest speakers during the meetup?
Definitely! The meetup is an open floor. Everyone – and we mean it – is a few steps away.
